I became a mother 6 months back(in June 2024) but my parenting journey started in 2014, even before my marriage. This blog is summary of 10 years of effort that went behind manifesting our child. So blog has become quite long(Sorry for that).
My first meeting with my child
I met my child first time in Inner Alchemy Yoga meditations I was doing in 2014 to marry the right person(You can call this meeting with future child as my imagination or vision or hallucination). I first saw this child in December 2014 and later my future husband in my meditations. After 1 year of these visions, I got married to the person whom I saw in my meditations in 2016. It was all good. After the marriage also, the child kept on coming in my visions and I could clearly hear from the child – “I will come into your life only when your health, wealth, relationships are good. Please work on these 3 aspects.”
On one side, I was excited about having this child who is guiding me but on the other side, I had a question troubling me – what is the need for a child in my life when I am already happy?
Understanding why I need a child
I started searching answer for this question. When I asked my mother why she thinks a child is needed in one’s life, she looked at me like a mad person who dared to even ask such a question and said – “life is beautiful only because of children. If there are no children, life is miserable.” Thanks to the Meditations and Energy Healing I was practicing, I was already happy and content in life. I have a purpose. My life is beautiful and I did not need a child for happiness or to complete my life. I felt complete and wholesome already. So, this reason is ruled out.
Some said a child is needed to take care of us in old age. Well, I have seen in my life scenarios where parents had 7/9/2/1 children but there was not even one child to take care of these parents in old age. So what guarantee can anyone give that a child will take care of me in old age? Some said a child is needed to continue family tree. Ok, there are other people in family to continue family tree. I dont need to have a child for this. Some said everyone has a child and if I dont have a child, I will be looked down. Well, Spirituality has given me enough strength to live life on my own terms without worrying what others would think of me. Some said parenting is a form of service but I have other avenues to do service and why should I choose parenting to serve someone?
I did not want to bring another soul onto this planet without a reason or a need that appeals to me. But my husband had a strong desire for child as he wanted someone to do good and serve society in next generation. My thought was -who can guarantee that child will do good and serve society ?
So, I prayed frequently to God to help me find the reason or to get the desire to have a child. Simultaneously, my study of Hinduism has started. Though I am born as a Hindu, I dont know much about my religion except for what is done/taught at home. So, I started my serious study of scriptures. I studied various scriptures like Mahabhaaratam, Bhagavatham, Ramayanam, Devi Bhagavatham, Shiva Puranam, Markandeya Puranam(This study of Hinduism is still continuing and I learnt many things in this study). And in this study, I finally found the reason to have a child.
I learnt from scriptures that giving birth to a child is an act of gratitude and pay back. Life on this earth is precious and it is made possible to me ONLY because my parents chose to have me as a child. They could have chosen not to have a child or aborted or abandoned me but they were kind enough to desire and nurture me inspite of joys and sorrows of life. Just like my parents gave me this opportunity to live on this planet, evolve spiritually and walk towards enlightenment, it is my highest dharma as a married person to give this precious opportunity to another soul. Paying forward to another soul is the only way to repay my debt towards my parents.
This reason appealed to me. True, I cannot give birth to my parents and take care of them like they have taken care of me when I was an infant. I can only pay it forward to someone else. After 5 years of searching, I found my answer and was convinced as to why I need a child.
Our work to manifest our child:
After this, my husband and I desired noble soul as our child and wrote down 100 qualities we wanted in our child. (I wrote down 100 qualities in the person I wanted to marry and the home I wanted to buy. My husband and my home met almost 90 out of 100 qualities I have written. So, my husband and I wrote down 100 qualities we desired in our child.)We started working to manifest noble soul as our child but nothing happened. We tried for 1 year and then, we underwent fertility related medical tests to understand the problem. Nothing concrete is found in these tests. What next?
I can go for IVF or take some medications to help me. But I wanted to conceive naturally. For me, its a natural conception or no conception. There is no other way. So, my husband and I started working on all levels to manifest our child. Below are the things we did to manifest our child.
- Working on our karma – My husband and I both understood this as a karmic issue and we need to work on our karma. So, my husband started serving children in our community through Balagokulam initiative. Every week, he spent 2 hrs in the service of children nurturing them through games and fun activities. We donated to orphanages and pregnant ladies. We blessed other couples trying for children.
- Working on our thoughts and emotions – We both wanted to regulate our emotions better and never lose our temper on our child out of stress. Inspired by our mentors Ruchi Sanjil, we desired to be peaceful parents. So we started doing Psychotherapy on ourselves and practiced inner alchemy yoga meditations regularly. I also had great fear of pregnancy and I worked on it with the help of psychotherapy and Blue Gloves Technique.
- Working on our bodies – we both started doing strength training , walking 10k steps almost everyday and took nutrition rich diet. We became extremely calculated when it came to what we were putting in our body. In my journey, I have learnt that right food is the fastest way to transform physical body. So we worked rigorously on our bodies.
- Working on our relationships– We practiced Forgiveness and Acceptance to the best of our ability and kept all our relationships clean and healthy.
- Working on our finances – We worked towards our finances to enable me to quit working once we have a child. We both are clear that I will quit full time working once we have a child. Why this decision? We both put a rule that our baby is our job and we did not want to outsource this job to grandparents/day care centers/nannies/gadgets. This is what many scriptures and spiritual books I read suggested us to do. I am not criticising anyone taking the help of others in making their parenting easier(I understand parenting has its own challenges. It is said a village is needed to raise a child). Everyone has freedom to make choices and this is our choice.
- Working on our marriage – We also worked on our marriage to become more harmonious. My husband and I are very different personalities and we know that a noble child can happen to us only when we are in harmony with each other. Also, parenting is the job of both mother and father and not just mother or just father. So, before we embarked on this partnership, we first wanted to build harmony and have a strong foundation. We learnt about this aspect in Inner Alchemy Yoga for Couple – Level 1 Course
- Other techniques we applied – We also applied genie(a technique taught in Kriyasiddhi workshop to manifest goals), did Service of 3 hrs per week and Tithing(donating 10 percent of income)
Result of our practices
After all this work, I conceived naturally and eventually had a baby girl on June 24th 2024, whom we named as Shri Gayatri. By the time of conception of Shri Gayatri, my husband and I were in the best of our health, our wealth is decent and our relationships with others are peaceful without forgiveness issues.
Finally I had a baby with natural conception, effortless pregnancy and normal delivery in late thirties. Pregnancy period was a breeze for me. I did not have vomitings or any kind of pain till 9th month(this is not accident. I read several stories of women who had this kind of experience and their diet is the key factor). In 9th month, just for 2 days, I had back pain and it subsided with healings. I followed my diet plan strictly and continued walking 10k steps per day and strength training till 9th month. I also did psychotherapy to keep myself happy and free from negative emotions during pregnancy.(I did many more things in pregnancy and I will a separate blog for this).
Conclusion
In India, when a married person does not have a child, she/he becomes the center of attraction and every other person, out of good intentions and genuine concern, would suggest IVF or consult a doctor. For a woman, it is all the more difficult as she is made to feel like her life has no meaning without a child(which is not the truth). Add to it the pressure of near and dear people. And the age factor( I already crossed 35). There were times I broke down with all these aspects but I trusted Law of Karma and understood that any good or bad in my life is my own making and I have the power to create my future. Most importantly, I had the hope that by sowing right karma and doing spiritual practices, I can have a baby irrespective of my age and situations.
My spiritual practices have given me enough strength to walk through this difficult phase of my life without much stress and losing my mental balance. My regular psychotherapy on myself removed all the stress and brought me peace no matter what happened. I neither became desperate nor lost my hope in this journey thanks to spirituality.
Gratitude
One person I need to thank profusely in this entire journey is my husband Balachander. He loves children and desired a child from day 1 of our marriage. Even though he could not understand my search for reason to have a child or my resistance for medical help to conceive a child, he accepted me as I am. He gave me enough space and freedom to be myself. Thank you Balachander for this and many more things. I am hugely indebted to you.
Thank you God and all the great ones for guiding me in every step. Thank you for your precious teachings. Thank you Ruchi Sanjil for teaching me energy healing, law of karma, Inner Alchemy Yoga and many more things and most importantly for being the kind of parents whom I can look upto. Thank you to every teacher who taught me about food and exercise.
Dear God, please bless me and my husband with the inner strength to continue our spiritual practices, eat right and exercise and be good role models to our child.
Sarve jana sukhino bhavanthu!
P.S. Should everyone who desire a child work so much to have a child? Answer is no. Our goal is big and our karmic balance is less, so we had to put lot of efforts. Every person is unique and their journey is unique.
