Myth 1: I need to wake up at 4 AM to meditate.
Truth: You can meditate at any time. It just needs you to be on empty stomach. Maintain a gap of at least 2 hours between your meal time and meditation time.
Myth 2: I cannot concentrate. Meditation is for those people who can concentrate.
Truth: Anyone can learn and practice meditation. In fact, meditation helps in building your concentration.
Myth 3: Meditation means just closing eyes and not thinking about anything.
Truth: It is very difficult to train the mind not to think about anything. Just closing eyes and trying not to think about anything does not work for many people. It needs a specific process to train the mind.
Myth 4: Meditation will make me complacent.
Truth: Meditation enhances your productivity, concentration and ability to achieve your goals. This is one of the reasons why many successful people meditate.
Myth 5: I need to be a vegetarian to meditate.
Truth: That’s not necessary to meditate.
Myth 6: Meditation is for old age.
Truth: Meditation is more important for a youngster than an elderly person because a youngster will have to make important decisions, face challenges in career, relationships and handle tremendous stress. So, the sooner a person starts meditation, the better it is.
