All my life, I had a great disbelief in Astrology and Astrologers due to several wrong predictions I received from them. My mother was worried about me like a typical parent and went to astrologers to know about my future. One said I would not study beyond 12th class but I completed my Engineering from Osmania University College of Engineering – which is one of the top 10 Engineering Colleges in Telangana. Another said I can have a child only through IVF and I should try that option but I had a child through normal conception. Another said I will get married by 18 years but I got married at 29 years. So, these experiences made me look down on Astrology and I NEVER wanted to become an astrologer. But life has its own plans and now, Astrology has become one of my passions.

5 months back, some strange things led me to study Esoteric Astrology and after I started studying Astrology in this light, I realized how wrong my attitude towards Astrology is. Just because a few Astrologers made wrong predictions about my life, it does not mean Astrology is useless. Astrology is a very vast and deep subject and one needs to have developed the virtue of accurate perception to a great degree to make predictions with high accuracy. Also, it needs in-depth study. Without study and the virtue of accurate perception, wrong predictions can be easily made.

For the last 5 months, Esoteric Astrology has become my passion and I spent a considerable amount of time studying this subject. I analyzed my horoscope and I was amazed to see my past being clearly written in Horoscope. How could a tiny square hold so much information about a person – like his personality, family, career, marriage, income etc? Truly marvelous.

Below are some benefits and perspectives I gained by studying Esoteric Astrology.

1. Helped me understand myself:

Esoteric Astrology is a great tool to understand oneself. It gives the strengths and weaknesses of a person. Knowing this will help us live a better life. For example, I have understood from my Horoscope that I have aggression and impulsiveness in my personality. Similarly, I understood that I am a fighter and I will win over challenges to attain my goals. Like this, when I analyzed my Horoscope, I understood myself to a great extent and understood my areas of improvement and good qualities. After this understanding, I became more aware and mindful of my behavior in interpersonal relationships.

2. Helped me understand others:

Esoteric Astrology is a great tool to understand our family members and this makes a great difference in relationships. I understood my husband much better after reading his Horoscope. I understood his likes and dislikes, his strengths and weaknesses. I also understood my daughter’s personality. This understanding has made me become a better parent, spouse, and child.

3. Helped me understand different aspects of my life:

Esoteric Astrology helped me understand my marriage, career, and health better. For example, coming to marriage, I have noticed that when my husband and I don’t meditate for some months(which is rare), we have arguments and disagreements between us and we become incompatible. But when we meditate, we are in great compatibility with each other. All these years, I did not know why this would happen. Now, when I analyzed the horoscope matching of me and my husband, we scored only 12 out of 36 and I understood that for us to be compatible, spiritual practices are a must.

4. Helped me prioritize my spiritual practices:

There are many spiritual practices to do in our system and I am an ordinary person who cannot do everything every day. Studying my horoscope helped me identify my weak planets and accordingly prioritize my spiritual practices. For example, I have always noticed that whenever I don’t do Psychotherapy for a few days, my emotions go out of control. Ok, many people don’t do Psychotherapy but they are alright. Why do my emotions go out of control when I don’t do Psychotherapy? I found the answer to this in my horoscope. My moon is weak and Psychotherapy is one of the remedies to strengthen a weak moon. So, for me, Psychotherapy is not optional. It’s mandatory. Like this, I could prepare a list of mandatory spiritual practices which need to be done by me regularly,

5. Made me more accepting of others:

Earlier, I would wonder(and to some extent judge also) why can’t everyone do spiritual practices and be happy. Why can’t everyone learn healing? Why can’t everyone do tithing and service? Now, I understand each horoscope is different and planets have a huge role to play in the behavior of a person. I could take to meditation and healing as they are part of my destiny(which means I have done these things in my previous lives and it’s easy to pick them up in this lifetime). This may not be the case for other people. Maybe, these things are not part of their destiny and they need to put a lot of effort into taking to these practices. I understood every person is unique and has unique likes and dislikes. This understanding has made me more accepting of others and less judgemental.

6. Helped me give up comparisons:

No matter how much I did not want to compare myself with others, my mind would do that occasionally. After studying Esoteric Astrology, I could overcome this weakness completely because I understood every Horoscope is unique and I cannot become like anyone and no one can become like me. I started enjoying the uniqueness of every person. Now, I don’t compete or compare myself with anyone and I don’t aspire to become like anyone.

7. Stopped giving motivational lectures:

Earlier, I used to say – if I can do it, you can do it too. Or if she/he did it, I could do it too. Now, I understand these statements are false. Every person’s journey is unique and such statements do not resonate with the truth. So, I stopped giving motivational lectures.

8. FOUND remedies to work on my areas of improvement:

IWC Esoteric Astrology Course is a great course on Astrology that helps us identify our weak areas in Horoscope and gives several powerful remedies to overcome these weaknesses. I started working on my weak areas to realize my full potential as a teacher, healer, spouse, parent etc.

9. Helped me understand Time better:

IWC Esoteric Astrology course taught me how to find out favorable and unfavorable times to start a new work. This is quite a useful tool in daily life as it’s easier to swim with the tide than against the tide.

These are some benefits I gained from studying Esoteric Astrology. Before I close my blog, I would like to add 2 points.

1. Predictions:

Many people go to Astrologers for Predictions about Health, Wealth, Relationships, Education, etc but I believe in my teacher’s words – It is easier to create future than predict it. So, I decided not to use Astrology to make any predictions about myself or others. When we are blessed with free will to create our future, why do we need predictions?

2. NO GOOD OR BAD PLANETS:

A lot of fear is created about certain planets like Saturn but in reality, there are no good or bad planets. Our Horoscope is our soul plan to experience certain things and learn certain lessons. Planets are the facilitators of our soul plan and they give good or bad results based on our karma. So, there is no point in being afraid of Saturn or any other planet. We should only be mindful of our karma and live in line with the Law of Karma.

CONCLUSION:

Astrology is a Vedanga and in ancient times, it was a mandatory subject in Gurukula. In modern times, it is reduced to just predictions. Astrology is more than predictions. It is a wonderful self-development tool. It can make a person a better human being when applied in the right direction.
