10 lessons I learnt from Mahabharata

Being an Indian, Mahabharata is not something new to me. Since my childhood, I have seen, read, listened to various versions and stories from Mahabharata. I loved all those movies and stories which revolved around pandavas and kauravas. But these could not satisfy me and I desired for a teacher who can explain this gripping story from the viewpoint of a spiritual seeker. Finally, I found such teacher in Samavedam Shanmukha Sarma garu. He is a brilliant scholar and orator in Telugu. And he is also a Guru for many seekers. By chance, on YouTube, I came across his discourses on complete Mahabharata. It…

My experience with blessing

I want to share a blessing experience I had. Next to my bedroom window (I have kept it open because of humidity)after our compound wall, there is a big vacant ground with good greenery area. So some street dogs made that area their resting place. They sleep in that area. One month back, during the night time, dogs started barking. I don't know what happened. I felt one dog is in pain and barking. May be they had a fight. Barking continued through out the night. My husband, 2 year old kid and I spent disturbed night. We could not sleep properly due to…

Hi All. Myself Gayathri, age 43. I was an Assistant professor in department of Electrical and Electronics engineering in a private engineering college in Chennai. I took a break in 2018 when my daughter started 10th. Initially everything was fine as I engaged myself in attending online classes. Then I had to concentrate more on my daughter. I was going in to depression, losing weight, was fighting with my family members, panicking for silly things. No one was there to…

Why do we need spirituality?

Namaste, Greetings of love and light! We all have different understanding of spirituality and this understanding changes as we evolve in life. Many people think that spirituality means lectures, meditations, not leading a normal materialistic life, is for old age etc. etc. Even I was having similar kind of understanding till couple of years back. But what's the truth? Truth is spirituality is like a user guide/manual that helps us lead a better life. Let me explain this with an analogy. Lets say a person is gifted a gadget but there is no user manual(for now, there is no googling :)). He does not…

My experiences with Pranic Healing and Aromatherapy

I am into pranic healing for 5 years. Initially I did not feel much changes either of the ways as I might have been attached to another guru immensely, especially, when your master is not an Indian origin. Somewhere I got connected to spiritual helpers Ruchi and Sanjil. I used to take up courses when life was hitting hard. I started spending days in IWC and it gave me an Ashram sort of feeling. As and when we enter the premises, some soothing Aroma touches your soul and the OM chants disconnect us with the outer world. Even though I experienced Ganga program, my…

11 lessons from a family living Vedic life

Recently, my husband and I went to Gokarna. Our main reason to go there was a dream my husband had. In the dream, it was suggested to him to visit Gokarna. We also clubbed panchakarma treatment in the visit. For panchakarma, we randomly chose an ayurvedic center named Sasya Sanjeevini Panchakarma Centre in Gokarna. We don't know anything about this centre or Gokarna. It is a plain risk we took. We stayed in the center for 12 days. It is run by a young couple named Dr.Patanjali and Dr.Soumya Sree. This couple and their entire family chose to live a Vedic life as taught…
